Can a lawyer represent you in court and have you sentenced without you there?

lawyer
Here it the problem. I am in NJ and have to be in court in FL. I do not have means to travel there at the moment. Can I hire a lawyer to represent me in court and change my plea to no content? After that he would have to hear my sentence and that would be all.

Some things can be done without the defendant present, but this isn’t one of them. The court in FL will just issue a warrant for your arrest.

The one who forced this by not guilty.
An order to appear in court sounds like you are under an order to appear in.
