Is it legal to have toilet waste flowing into your sump pump trap?

looks like it comes out the same waste pipe the laundry waste water comes out of. They must have tapped into the same waste line and everything from the basement flows through the same waste pipe, so I can’t plug it up or I can’t do laundry.
