Should my lawyer try to work a deal as a result?

Last night, my boyfriend was arrested for DWI. His charges are DWI, reckless driving, open container, and indicated impairment. He was speeding, that was the reckless driving..and he had two beers with a blood alcohol level of 2.1. He was taken to jail last night and got a bail bondsman to release him this morning. I want to know what the judge will most likely decide and if he’s going to go to jail. What type of lawyer should he get? I’m really worried =(
This all happened in Rio Rancho, NM.

Can a lawyer reduce the charge / jail sentence? This is his first time offense - just messed up - really good kid.

Hi, i mad a stupid decision a few weeks ago and got a dui. Now im looking for attorneys in California and got a local for 1500 in Lompoc or a DUI specialist for at least 4500 in a bigger city…Santa Barbara. Are these guys basically going to do the same thing? Any suggestons welcome. Thanks

My sister is getting a divorce from her husband. She left with the kids because he was being abusive. She got a restraining order on him and filed phone harassment charges against him. She also went to court and the gave her a protection order for 180 days. That night he broke into the house where she was staying, beat her and pulled a knife on her and told her he was going to kill her and their kids. She got him to leave and called the police. He was not arrested until 2 days later after we called a billion times. Her lawyer was given to her by the womans shelter and a rock could represent her 1000 times better than he is. We live in West Virginia. Any ideas on laws to help her…??? We fear for her and the kids.
