Joshua asked: I live in California and a friend is going to visit me from Texas and he wants to bring a gun so we can go shooting at the range. Is that legal? If so does it have to be a California legal gun or can he bring a gun that is legal in Texas but not legal here?

asked: We recently rented an apartment in town to stay at a few days a week. Cable was already installed in this 50+-year-old building when we moved in. We would prefer not to deal with the cable company, as their customer service is terrible and we can get a better package from the satellite provider. However, the bldg management won’t allow us to install a dish on the building. We can see why they’d have this rule, but is it legal for them to limit our choices in this way? We are in Ontario Canada. We have read that, in the US, they cannot ban satellite dish installations by law.

Pascha asked: If a bank employee is careless about how he/she treats the private information of customers, so as to increase the risk of identity theft, or if a bank employee himself or herself takes a job simply to get such information, what are the legal penalties?

gomart27 asked: I have a serious issue and need advice…and please no ads for free legal whatever just answer my question if you can. I got divorced three years ago and when I did I left my vehicle with my ex until she could get one of her own (because of our kids). I even paid for her car and gave her money that I thought was being used to pay on my vehicle when she had it. It turns out she didn’t…if fact she stripped the truck and then returned it to me two days before it got repoed. The loan company resold the truck a few months after….now out of nowhere a lawyer “representing” the loan company has seized my bank accounts to the tune of $40,000…….the problem is I only have $300 in the account….I only make $10,000 a year since the divorce…the loan is only $17,000 and the legal team is taking their sweet time fixing what they know is a goof….meanwhile I can’t pay my bills, buy meds my fiance needs..her money’s gone too although she isn’t part of this…please help

The Yahelli Swami asked: “Renovations to the station were completed, including a phone in the lobby, which connects to the 911 Center, as well as cameras and locks to ensure the safety of community members with emergencies. Those renovations cost $10,603.80, which mostly came from donations and money that was pledged.”
Is it an ethical and/or legal problem for a municipality to accept private donations and pledges to renovate a police station? I have an opinion but I want to see what others think.

Bin Yummy asked: I am wondering if it is legal to find out how much the teachers and administrators received in salaries from the public school systems and have this published. This could help get raises for the underpaid and call for action against those overpayed.
