I am looking to set up a secure website offering people with Technical Specialities (e.g. Networking, Programming, Website design etc.) to search jobs placed by those in need of the work being done.

The website will ideally have an optional escrow service which will allow the Techie to complete the work whilst knowing they will get paid (if it meets correct standards) and they buyer can place funds into an account knowing that if the work is not satisfactory there is no bill to pay.

I was just wandering what kind of legal requirements, regulations and procedures there were associated with this type of service…

Any help or advice would be brilliant…

Thanks!
Im in the UK by the way….i’m guessing the laws are different depending on the country you trade/live in.

What are the specific legal definitions and the difference between a global supplier and regional supplier? (specifically relating to pharmaceutical biotechnology)

Whether it be from a international business organization or legal standards or whatever. If you could give a link to a website, that would be helpful as well.

Thank you!

I live in Virginia and am in need of a lawyer that practices Family Law for a custody/visitation dispute. The lawyer I met with today wants $5000. This seems high but I have no frame of reference. Does anyone know what retaining fees range in Virginia? Thanks.

I am a small business owner and I’ve got a customer who refuses to pay for services rendered. The customer and I both signed a contract, so she was well aware of the price. She’s been delaying payment for several months, putting me under increasing financial strain.

I know lawyer’s fees probably vary by location, experience, etc.

But as a ballpark, what do you think I could expect to pay for a lawyer to write a letter to the customer on my behalf?
What kind of fees could I expect for a consultation?

I know this coffee house where the baristas only get the cash tips (from the tip jar). If any customers use credit or debit cards, and leave a charge tip, the management pockets it. There is, of course, no sign or information to the customers about this, and the employees are not permitted to discuss it. Is this legal? It certainly sounds dishonest.
Tips from the tip jar are not reported as income. The management includes the charge tips in its sales income, and does not allocate these to the employees.
