How can i transfer my legal guardianship to my uncle?
missbeth623 asked:
I’m 20 years old and wanting to go to the university that he currently works at. If he is my legal guardian I will recieve in-state as well as employee discount. I have lived with him for quite a few summers as well as spending the majority of my time out of town with that side of the family. How do I make this legal?
Also, I’m getting answers saying I no longer have a legal guardian. Currently my parents are my legal guardian, so that means I could transfer it to my family members. I’m looking for legal answers here. Thanks

You are an adult. You don’t have a legal guardian any more. Michael C

at 18, you are an adult…you have NO legal guardian now, not even your parents. The only time a parent might be a guardian past age of adulthood, is if the child is shown incompetent.
I am not hearing “incompetent” in your question or language.
ps
you ARE getting legal answers. I don’t know why you think your parents are still legal guardians. If they do happen to be (which is not normal and is only by court order), then they have to do any legal business on your behalf. You can’t transfer something that does not exist. wendy c

If you are sufficiently mentally incompetent to be considered in need of a legal guardian, this would be decided by a court, not you. tiggsy
