The lawyer can't help you because when you agreed to attend this uni, you also agreed to follow their rules - including following their rules regarding how disciplinary actions take place. Your best bet is to talk to your academic advisor to find out what the official uni procedure is for this sort of thing. What are the steps? Will you really be expelled on your first offense, etc? While some colleges will expel you for this, at others, it's more likely that you'll fail either the exam or the entire class. The code always prohibits cheating and you agreed to that therefore you were violating the contract you made with the college. As cheating isn't a legal crime, but rather an academic one, a lawyer can't help you. If you got caught underage drinking, then you need a lawyer.
