How much does a lawyer charge for a Divorce case in Family Court?

My lawyer has charged Rs.25000/-for a single reply and Rs.25000/- for another reply filed in Family Court and 20000/- for boarding and lodging for a single day in a city outside Delhi and for each reply that is full of mistakes is finally corrected by me, he is demanding Rs.25000/-. Is his rates reasonable or Am I being fooled by him? Please help me? Could anyone suggest some reasonable lawyer in Delhi?

When hiring ANY lawyer, the first thing to do is to ask about their rates, and also get an estimate of what they think the total costs will be. If the quotes estimate or his rates are too high then go elsewhere. You can also call up the lawyers association (whatever it might be called in your country) and ask them to name some people who have reasonable service charges. Enoch

The charges of Rs25000/- of drafting application/written statement in the Family court is too steep,plus Rs20000/- for boarding & lodging for a single day in a city outside Delhi looks unreasonable.
Definitely you are being be-fooled by him.
