There are saguaro cactus on my property that I would like to move. I was just wondering if it is legal to move the cactus.

I suggest you read the link below
Each saguaro carries a $10,000 fine per plant for being uprooted.

State law regarding native plants of Arizona, to include the beautiful saguaro, were changed in early May.

Saguaros fall under Arizona’s Protected Plants Law. A property owner CAN move a cactus but must first apply for a license to do so via the Arizona Dept of Agriculture. There are offices in Phoenix and Tucson; please consult the phone book for more details on physical locations.

A sagauro tag costs $8 per cacti.

Landowners and people interested in harvesting Arizona Native Plants must understand state regulations on native plants. Connie G
