What are some legal charities that would allow a sixteen year old to volunteer during the school year in NYC?

I want to volunteer at a legal charity during my junior year of high school but it seems like there aren’t any opportunities. It seems like most places only want law school students/graduates. I wouldn’t mind doing grunt work; I just want to experience helping other people in a legal setting.

How do I handle a ex husband that is a lawyer and has abused my son twice?

my ex husband hurt my son twice.(beat him) twice signed a volunteer plan including supervised visits. He has not see them since oct 2008. Now he claims I have alienated him from the children. he is a lawyer. anyone know of group or organization that could help me. I feel like my son is not being treated fairly and that my Ex husband is using his legal influence to not face his due consequences.
