Why has the american legal/protective system turned a blind eye to the huge number of illegal aliens?
Harmony asked:
America was strong, due in great part to our laws and the great variety of cultures who came together as “Legal Americans” with the determination to uphold and honor them. What does our government think the end result of disregarding the law for “select” illegal aliens will be? What is the reasoning of accommodating a second language AND providing financial aid, health and educational support from all of the “Legal Americans” who are still demanded by our government to obey the laws while our new neighbors are not only exempt, but encouraged not to by our own government funded community advisers?

Oklahoma passed legislation a couple years ago to run them out or prosecute those who hire them. Our tax collections fell when that law came into effect, and someone commented that even though the illegals were working for cash, they probably paid in enough sales taxes to keep our budgets going. Illegals have supplied cheap labor to the larger employers who are in competition. I don’t believe we need to have a second language here. And what bothers me most if the police in the larger cities in Oklahoma catch an illegal driving without a license and even having a wreck and no insurance, they will let them go because the police department doesn’t want to fuss with the paperwork—I know someone who was hit by an illegal driving his bosses truck, and the police didn’t even issue a ticket and the person who got hit had to pay for damages. If I did such a thing my butt would be hauled off to jail for sure. Patti

it did not. That is why there are still apprehensions and deportations that are going on. It is just that the Government lacks the manpower to apprehend them all, that is why concentration on those illegal aliens with criminal records became their priority. Like any other illegality, there is always the fear of the law, so do not lose your faith in the American justice system. Eventually, something will be done with this problem, like making them “legal” and getting them out of the shadows so you won’t call them illegal anymore, or probably, because of economic slowdown, with no jobs available for them, they might do a self-deportation. atom

Cheap labor, dem’s for votes, and Hispanic groups for their own reason and Mexico who wanted to deduce the numbers of poor that might up-rise against the government and reduce the number of poor who the had to care for. Then we must not forget the money sent home by the illegals second only to the oil revenues. We pay for their anchor babies, medical cost and schooling the children both legal an illegal.Seems the Mexico is trying to colonize the USA one illegal at a time anne

To Patti of OK. I read that e-mails were sent by DHS directing the police dept. not to arrest and jail Illegals unless a felony was attached to the crime. How do you like them apples. We the US American Citizen do not count any more, the Illegals have all the power. I also read part of the rental agreement for Public Housing, that stated that the SS# holder should contribute to the rental of the Unit. Anchor babies for the most part do not work and can not contribute Who is watching Whom? ACRON has struck again. Someone please tell me why that units do not become available. Illegals live on the taxpayer’s dime. We have a lot of homeless and families in this area that are US Citizens and the Illegals have taken up the rental units and they are on the street. Aren’t we all taught to take care of family first. This is the american way. Judy B

I think Ron Paul and Tom Tancredo are our only hope to turn things around. We need to remember those names in 2012.
No one else will do it, McCain is always hanging out with La Raza so we can count him out.
Would you believe that I was sent to court and almost jailed for not wearing a seat-belt. Yes this is true it did happen to me. Isn’t that ridiculous and in the same town there are illegals that are so drunk that they sleep on the street with open Corona bottles.
If I even looked like I may have been drinking I would be hauled off to jail. But these illegals drink out in the street in broad daylight with the cops there. WTF
This country has really gone off the deep end if you ask me.
This would explain why people are throwing airplanes into the IRS.
This is the suicide letter from the guy in Texas who threw an airplane into the IRS building. Foghorn

Because the national Democrat party and most liberals support amnesty for illegal aliens and open borders. To the left, illegal aliens are viewed as “Undocumented Democrat voters.” Rep. Gutierrez (D) has introduced a Mass Amnesty for Illegal Aliens bill, which we must stop dead in its tracks. We must demand that E-Verify be made permanent and that it be expanded.
A new bipartisan resolution in the House opposes efforts to grant amnesty to illegal aliens. Introduced by Representatives Chaffetz (R-UT), Kratovil (D-MD), Hunter (R-CA), and Nye (D-VA), H. Res. 1026 asserts that Congress should “reject amnesty and any legal status which pardons those here in violation of our laws.”
Ten Democrats and 12 Republicans are original sponsors of the BRIDGE Resolution (Bipartisan Reform of Immigration through Defining Good Enforcement), which also encourages Congress to make E-Verify mandatory for all employers and to “effectively secure and control United States borders.”
